IMS has contributed to this facility’s record setting feat with the recently completed, total automation upgrade of the Hot Rolling Mill – starting with slab depiler and furnace pusher drives, continuing through the Roughing and Finishing Mills all the way to the Coiler pulpit desks.

US Steel http://www.uss.com/corp/facilities/lorain-tubular.asp IMS has recently modernized the USS Lorain Tubular Works, The facility consists of two pipe mills, No.3 and No. 4. The No. 3 pipe mill manufactures seamless pipe with outside diameters from 10.75 inches to 26 inches, while the No. 4 mill produces seamless pipe with outside diameters from 1.9 inches to 4.5 inches.
